The Spanish real estate sector recorded an annual total return of 2.5% in 2022, according to the MSCI Spain Annual Property Index, compared to 8.6% in 2021. The slowdown in performance has been mainly driven by the industrial and office sectors. The residential and retail sectors were the top performing sectors in 2022, with returns in line with previous year.
The MSCI Spain Annual Property Index includes 835 assets, from 73 portfolios, with a total capital value of 27.2Bn EUR at year-end 2022.
The event for the presentation of the results of the MSCI Spain 2022 Annual Real Estate Index shall be held on the 24th of April (next Monday), between 11am and 1pm, at the Uría Menéndez Auditorium, in Madrid.
During the event MSCI shall present the results of the index for 2022 and, together with a panel of experts, analyse the current situation of the real estate market. In addition to presenting the index and analysing the sector's performance and investment trends, there will be a moment to look ahead to the future with the panel of experts.
For that purpose, Roger Cooke (Iberian Property), Diego Armero (Uría Menéndez), Federico Bros (M&G Real Estate), José Manuel Llovet (Grupo Lar), and Juan Manuel Ortega (Inmobiliaria Colonial).
