Iberian presence at MIPIM grows by 20% this year

From 14 to 17 March, Cannes hosted the most important international event dedicated to the real estate sector: MIPIM. The conference programme addressed the most important trends of the moment, such as the importance of ESG criteria, flex space and affordable housing, thus establishing the pulse of the sector in 2023, a year of major changes.

More than 8,700 international companies and 22,500 professionals from 100 countries attended the event, including investors, developers, real estate agents, architects, cities and regions, among others. Attendance from the Iberian Peninsula, which includes Spain, Portugal and Andorra, was particularly significant this year, with a 20% increase over the previous edition.

In the Iberian region, more than 1,000 professionals from the sector and 400 companies from the region attended MIPIM, which represents more than 4.5% of the fair's total, an all-time record that confirms the growing interest of the national market in the international market. This event offers the opportunity to establish contacts, develop new business relationships and discover investment opportunities in real estate projects around the world, making it a key point on the agenda of any professional in the sector.

"If you're not at MIPIM, you don't exist," says Albert Castro, CEO of Meridiana and official representative of MIPIM in Iberia. This comment illustrates the importance of being present at this event, which has established itself as the ideal platform to learn about the latest trends in the sector, explore new business opportunities and establish key contacts.

MIPIM 2023 has been a resounding success, bringing together the main players in the global real estate sector and offering a complete overview of the most outstanding trends of the moment. The record attendance from Iberia confirms the relevance of this region in the international market and underlines the importance of being present at events such as MIPIM to keep up to date in a constantly evolving sector.

With this idea in mind, the three cities have come together to MIPIM, the most important real estate fair in the world, with a stand of almost 200 square metres. This space has been a meeting point for entrepreneurs, companies and investors interested in participating in this ambitious project.

Presentations were made at the stand by the four exhibiting companies: Chave Nova, Lionesa, Retail Mind and Revito.
