Lisbon is the focus of international attention with EntreCampos, one of the largest and most innovative urban developments currently underway in Europe, developed by Fidelidade Property.

This transformational project in the heart of Lisbon was the Global Sponsor of MAPIC 2025, the world’s most prestigious retail fair, held each November in Cannes. This sponsorship not only reinforces the international dimension of Entrecampos but also underlines its ambition: to create a new urban centrality in Lisbon, where state-of-the-art office buildings, housing, retail, culture, gastronomy, and leisure coexist in a harmonious and sustainable way.

More than a real estate project, EntreCampos is conceived as a neighborhood of experiences, designed to be lived seven days a week, from morning to night.

With construction already underway and completion scheduled for 2027/2028, the development integrates seven office buildings and three residential buildings, connected by an innovative ecosystem of retail, dining, leisure, and green spaces, and over 17,000 sqm of gardens and public squares. From the first sketch, the vision was clear: to open the space to the city, creating a vibrant, cosmopolitan, and dynamic area that meets the new demands of urban life. As Miguel Santana, board member of Fidelidade Property, states, “EntreCampos will be a global reference in innovation, design, and sustainability, redefining the heart of Lisbon and projecting the capital into the future.”

Retail as a lifestyle destination

Retail and food & beverage are strategic pillars of this project. With 20,000 sqm spread across two floors and around 55 stores, EntreCampos is designed as a space that surpasses the traditional shopping center model. Its philosophy is inspired by the concept of open-air street retail, creating a pedestrian-friendly and integrated environment with flagship stores of international brands, signature restaurants, pop-up concepts, and cultural spaces. This diversity gives rise to an urban lifestyle destination where shopping, leisure, gastronomy, and culture naturally converge, offering a unique experience for both residents and visitors.

Architecture and sustainability as defining features

The prestige of EntreCampos is also reflected in its architecture. The project is designed by some of the most renowned international and national firms: KPF and Gensler, in collaboration with Saraiva + Associados and Promontório, are responsible for the office and retail buildings. The residential component was designed by three leading names in Portuguese architecture: Siza Vieira, Souto de Moura (both Pritzker Prize winners), and Ana Costa. The emblematic towers of the EntreCampos project are strategically designed to create courtyards, gardens, and plazas, with an architectural language that combines the individual identity of each building with overall cohesion, ensuring fluidity and connectivity with the surrounding urban fabric.

Also setting EntreCampos apart is its strong commitment to sustainability. The project has already received major international distinctions, such as LEED Neighborhood Gold pre-certification, awarded for the first time in Portugal, WiredScore Neighborhood certification, granted for the first time in Continental Europe to assess technological connectivity, and WELL Gold certification, which recognizes the most demanding standards of user well-being. Achieving these results has been possible thanks to the contribution of GreenLab, which conducted microclimate studies, carbon footprint and thermal performance analyses, as well as evaluations of photovoltaic potential. “This project will be an international benchmark in ESG criteria,” guarantees Miguel Santana, stressing that sustainability has been considered a guiding principle since the very beginning.

Beyond reshaping the center of Lisbon, EntreCampos has a direct impact on the city’s international image. Winning the “Best New Mega Development” award at the 2025 MIPIM Awards confirms its relevance as a visionary project, placing Lisbon alongside other global capitals leading urban transformation.

EntreCampos at MAPIC 2025: a global stage for innovation

With a prominent presence at MAPIC 2025, EntreCampos further established itself as a model for the future of European urbanism and as the project that will transform Lisbon into one of the world’s most dynamic, sustainable, and attractive capitals. Among the highlights of its participation was the roundtable “More Than The Sum: Retail, Offices & The Future of Urban Neighbourhoods,” which brought together international experts and leaders to debate the future of cities and the integrating role of retail in new urban neighbourhoods. Another highlight was the sponsorship of the “Most Exciting Emerging Food Brands” award, which recognized emerging restaurant chains and innovative food & beverage brands with international impact. This initiative aligns with EntreCampos’ strategy to attract disruptive F&B concepts capable of transforming the urban experience and reinforcing Lisbon as a global gastronomic destination.

“As Global Sponsor of MAPIC 2025, we had a unique opportunity to showcase how Lisbon is leading urban innovation and how EntreCampos is positioning itself as a model for the future of cities in transformation,” concludes Miguel Santana.
