The main investors of the Stoneshield fund are the Morenés and Pepa. Morenés´s mother has also invested, Ana Botín, president of Santander; and his uncle Javier, owner of the securities company JB Capital Markets and external advisor of the Bank.
The two ex-financiers of Lone Star are behind some of the largest real estate operations in the Iberian Peninsula in recent years, such as the "octopus project" (purchase from Eurohypo of loans with real estate collateral for €500 million), the purchase of the promoter Neinor to Kutxabank or the acquisition of the Vilamoura complex in Algarve.
