The price of non-subsidized housing rose 2.7% YoY until September, according to the Ministry of Development

 

After 26 quarters of year-on-year drops in the price of housing, started at the end of 2008, this data represents the tenth consecutive quarter of nominal rise in prices.

On the other hand, in real terms, meaning, discounting the inflation, the price of non-subsidized housing experienced an increase of 1%.

The average value of the square meter of non-subsidized housing up to five years old stood at €1,799.9 in the third quarter of 2017.  This represents a year-on-year growth of 3.2%.  As for non-subsidized housing with more than five years old, the price reached €1,531.5 per square meter, which represents a rise of 2.6% year on year.
