For 2021, Planner Exhibitions, the event’s organiser, plans to add a virtual section to the event, which was designed in order to «extend the channels where the exhibitors can show their offer».
SIMAPRO will take place at the same time, the event that this year took place in a hybrid format (live and online) with more than 900 participants. The ASPRIMA-SIMA award ceremony, which celebrates its 18th edition in 2021, will take place during the first day of the event.
The rescheduling of SIMA for May 2021, motivated by the evolution of the pandemic, had already been announced in September, but the exact dates were only revealed this week by the organisation of the event. At the time, Eloy Bohúa remarked that «the new dates will allow us to organize a fair under normal circumstances, which guarantees the entire satisfaction of our public’s expectations».
