The unit, which will be hotel chain W’s first hotel in Madrid, was one of Platinum’s first investments in the Spanish market, as recalls EjePrime. It was bought from the Salazar family for 35 million euro and it includes two buildings, number 9 and number 11 at Carrera de San Jerónimo.
In the same year, the fund bought Edifício Estel, and number 9 at Calle General Oraá, in Salamanca, which it sold in 2018 for 56 and 150 million euro, respectively.
