The Spanish company will integrate one of Mutares’ own subsidiaries, Donges Group, specialised in high complexity steel structures for bridges and buildings as well as ceilings and facades. The operation is expected to be concluded during 2021’s third quarter, after receiving the approval from the competition authorities.
Permasteelisa España operates in Spain and Portugal from its headquarters in Madrid. It is specialised in designing, manufacturing and installing glass structures for the cladding of buildings’ facades. It has more than 50 years of experience and around 80 employees. In 2020, the company earned around 22 million euro. Permasteelisa España has had an important contribution to the construction of Madrid and Barcelona’s skyscrapers, having become one of the most recognised players in this segment thanks to such projects as Torre Caleido, Torre Espacio, Torre de Cristal, Torre Agbar, Torre Mare Nostrum and Hotel Arts amongst others.
«We are very happy to announce our first acquisition in Spain and we see in it a great opportunity to increase our presence in the Iberian Peninsula», remarked Mutares Chief Investment Officer, Johannes Laumann, who further stated that this acquisition is in line with the company’s philosophy of aiding its subsidiaries in creating value and positioned Donges Group as «a truly pan-European provider of complex and highly specialised solutions for steel structures, covers and facades».
