The four floor building, which should be concluded in 2020, has several common areas such as study rooms, film and multimedia rooms, dining rooms and gym. It also has 160 parking spots, mentions newspaper La Gaceta de Salamanca.
This project comes at a time when the University of Salamanca is launching a campaign to attract more students to the city, refers the same newspaper. The new accommodation offer should, in this way, meet the increase in demand.
But even without this initiative, the numbers reflect a large student public in the city. In the school year of 2017-2018 alone, the University of Salamanca had 25.007 students enrolled.
