David Brush, founding director of Merlin Properties and up until now the company’s CIO, will retire on the 28th of February 2021, after almost 40 years as a professional dedicated to the real estate sector. He arrived in Spain in 2014, due to Merlin Properties listing in the Stock Exchange.
Javier Zarrabeitia, up until now in charge of the office segment, will retire on the 31st of December 2020, after more than 40 years as a professional in the office segment. He started in 2015 on the Spanish REIT.
Fernando Lacadena, in charge of Finances, will retire on the 31st of March 2021, after almost 6 years at Merlin Properties
David Brush will continue serving the company as a senior advisor and will incorporate a special board advisory committee, which will also include Zarrabeitia and Lacadena.
To cover the positions of these directors, Fernando Ferrero will now be in charge of offices; Fernando Lacadena’s functions will be assumed by the General Corporate Management and the Financial Management department led by Miguel Ollero and David Brush’s functions as CIO will be assumed by Ismael Clemente, the company’s managing director.
The company also welcomed Jose Miguel Setíén, highly experienced professional formerly from JLL, to be in charge of marketing offices and David Martínez, who will be in charge of user experience and quality, after a remarkable career within the hotel segment as an executive for hotel chain Ritz Carlton.
