António Gil Machado, Director at Iberian Property Magazine – one of the three organizing entities – and Richard Betts, Director at Real Asset Media will start the session, which will highlight the sector’s latest themes. The goal is to bring a broad view of the country’s macroeconomy, which will be supported by data gathered in a research carried out by María Jesús Fernández, Executive Director at ICEX – Invest in Spain.
The other theme concerns the real estate opportunities and risks in Spain and it will be developed by Reno Cardiff, International Partner, from Cushman & Wakefield.
The motto of this session will gather important market players on the round table moderated by Richard Betts: Hernán San Pedro, from Lar España, Carlos Portocarrero, from Clifford Chance, Audrey Klein, from Corestate Capital Group and Javier Martín, from Nuveen Real Estate.
The second part of the session – which starts at 11 am – will focus on the new alternatives the market currently offers and different points of view on it will be presented.
Another theme concerns investment in Real Estate Debt and it will be discussed by Cristina García- Peri, Director of Business Development & Strategy at Azora. The new bet in student residences will be explained by Brian Welsh, The Nido Student’s CEO. And lastly Jaime Buxó, Chief Development Officer at Grupo Barceló will offer a new view on leisure and tourism.
The round table dedicated to this theme will host Andrés Berral from Clifford Chance, Bruno Hallé from Cushman & Wakefield, Pedro Coelho from Square AM and George Minns from Europa Capital.
