In total, in 2018, 1.409 ARIs (Residence Permit for Investment) were issued, 4.2% more than in 2017. In December 2018 alone, 94.3 million euro were invested, 210% more than in the same month in 2017. 79.7 million euro were invested in purchasing real estate.
In the same month, 149 ARIs were issued, 134 of which under real estate investment, 21 for urban renewal.
Between October 2012 and December 2018, 4.249 million euro were invested through this instrument, 3.848 through the purchase of real estate. 6.962 ARIs were issued, 4.073 of which to Chinese nationals.
