Of this amount, the municipality should invest directly around €100 million, if the proposal goes ahead. The project to be developed in 25 hectares of land is expected for housing construction, about 700 affordable income houses, commerce, offices, green spaces and social facilities.

The batch of the old “Feira Popular” is the largest portion of the project. After two public auctions without interested, the City Hall decided to sell the land in three parts in order to attract international companies and investors.
