The 'Inquérito à Situação do Setor da Construção' (Construction Sector’s Situation Survey), carried out by AICCOPN and AECOPS, concerning the 4th quarter of 2020, showed that the companies’ levels of activity remained practically the same when compared to the previous quarter.
During the last quarter of 2020, 57.7% of companies showed stabilisation in terms of activity (less than the 59% of the previous quarter), 19.6% reported an increase in activity (less than the 21% of the 3rd quarter) and 22.7% pointed out a decrease in activity (above the 21% of the previous quarter).
According to the respondents, during the analysed period, the main constraints against construction activity, as indicated by the companies, were the lack of a specialised workforce and the constraints caused by the pandemic. More than half of the companies on the construction and real estate sectors were mentioned.
