Spanish Real Estate recalls that as an opportunistic fund, the CPI acquired several Spanish hotels during the crisis, among them the Meliá Palacio de Congressos, one of the largest in Valencia, or the Husa Princesa and Husa Moncloa in Madrid. In just over 2 years, it invested around €250 million.
Now, with financial problems and several major creditors in Spain, the CPI was acquired by Colony.
