The company managed to climb from BBB to BBB+ after the deal it closed with its first Qatari shareholder. Colonial has also strengthened its controlling position in French subsidiary Société Foncière Lyonnaise, increasing its share to 80%.
This year, Colonial was also the first company in the sector to get an investment grade from a rating agency.
