AREA Industrial & Logistics, one of the main promoters of industrial and logistics buildings nationwide, will be the promoter in charge for the execution of the new GEFCO warehouse, under the "turnkey" modality. The approximate total investment of this new project is €10 million and is expected to be delivered by mid-2019.
For the execution of the building, AREA Industrial & Logistics will act on a plot of 40,000 m² from which will be segregated a floor area of 22,000m² where this project will be raise, symbolizing the new strategy of GEFCO Partners, betting on a strategic location, in this case in the Community of Madrid. The project will have a total area of 8.950m², becoming one of the largest cross-docking platforms in the Community of Madrid.
Jean Bernard Gaudin, Director of Industrial and Logistics for Spain of BNP Paribas Real Estate, explains that "we are at an exceptional moment for the logistics sector in Spain, as evidenced by the maximum volume of registered contracts and operations like this one from GEFCO the good perspectives in the short-medium term, particularly with an increase in land operations and turnkey projects in the "cross-docking" typology (warehouses destined for widespread distribution and packages)".
