The hospital operator, owner of the Viamed Monegal Hospital in Tarragona, will build the new hospital project opposite Les Gavarres, within the Tarraco Centrum Commercial Park, owned by Ten Brinke. This project will have an estimated investment of more than 50 million euros and will be borne by , as reported by the company in a statement.
In any case, this project has nothing to do with the project that Thor Private Equity Spain will develop, with the creation of a hospital and nursing home, in order to create a health hub, and whose investment amounts to sixty million euros.
The new hospital, which will open its doors at the end of 2024, will have 20,000 square meters to serve the more than 500,000 inhabitants of the area. This new hospital will have 102 beds and a surgical block made up of eleven operating theaters and a state-of-the-art catheterization room.
In addition, it will have sixteen post-surgical recovery posts and an intensive care unit with six individual box posts. At the same time and for outpatients, it will have fifteen day surgical hospital posts, endoscopy and an outpatient area with 45 cabinets designed by specialty, as well as an Emergency Unit with 21 boxes.
