Teresa Coelho is Portuguese and a very experience senior executive with more than 20 years dedicated to people management and HR processes in major companies with an international dimension across a wide variety of business sectors, such as financial, e-commerce or insurance. Prior to joining KPMG in 2019, Coelho was HR Director at Amazon Spain and Italy. Between 2006 and 2015, Teresa held various roles at Barclays Bank, first as HR Director in Portugal and then as Head of HR Services in Iberia, which she later expanded to Continental Europe and United Arab Emirates.

The new Global People & Sustainability Officer of Tinsa group takes up a newly created position from where she will define and coordinate people management strategies and the and the global ESG plan initiatives across the group’s companies in different countries.

In the opinión of James Cornell, Chairman and CEO of the Tinsa group, the choice of a manager with Coelho’s profile to lead the Human Resouces area as a Board member reveals the key role that the ‘People Strategy’ plays in the group’s growth plan. “I have no doubt Teresa will help us make a big qualitative leap forward in key areas such as attracting and retaining talent, promoting our ESG agenda including diversity and inclusion, and other initiatives that create the best conditions for the professional and personal development of our teams in diferent companies and countries”, says Cornell.

The Tinsa group had a turnover of 192 million euros in 2022, more than 50% outside Spain, and has a workforce of more than 1,500 people on three continents. The group is focused on international growth and the development of innovative products and services supported by unique data and technology capabilities aimed at enriching the entire real estate value chain, with a particular focus on end homebuyers.
