With over 900 real estate professionals from the Iberian region at MIPIM 2024, the region has reinforced its status as a hub for investment and an attractive destination for international companies developing new projects. In 2025, the Iberian presence will continue to grow, gathering more companies and professionals than ever before, further driving the internationalization of the region.
Being one of the biggest global events in the property and cities sector, this event brings together the main international stakeholders, allowing regions to promote projects, attract investment and keep up with property market trends.
At the initiative of Lisbon City Council, the Lisbon Region will be present at MIPIM 2025 (Le Marché International des Professionnels de l'Immobilier), one of the biggest global events in the property and cities sector, taking place in Cannes, France, from 11 to 14 March. “This event brings together the main international stakeholders, allowing regions to promote projects, attract investment and keep up with property market trends”, comments Joana Almeida, Lisbon City Council Councillor for Urban Planning.
The Lisbon Region stand will be a joint promotion space that includes the municipalities of Lisbon, Almada, Loures and Vila Franca de Xira, as well as entities such as the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Portuguese Association of Property Developers and Investors (APPII) and more than 25 companies from the property sector, such as Fidelidade, Habitat Invest, Krest, Vanguard Properties, VIC and VOGUE homes.
As Portugal’s economic powerhouse, the Lisbon region accounts for nearly 40% of the country’s GDP and attracts over 50% of the foreign direct investment (FDI) flowing into Portugal. “The presence of companies and developers on the stand will strengthen the region's ability to attract investment and raise its profile on the international property scene”, the councillor adds.
Located in the Pavillion-1, E.50, the Lisbon region stand will be a meeting point, presenting a compelling agenda to discuss the projects and themes that will shape the future of the region, featuring several ‘Investor Talks’ and ‘City Meetings’ throughout the week. Each day will end with a networking focused moment, accompanied by a taste of the best Portuguese Wines, a relaxed format to access key contacts in real estate development, including local authorities and top private stakeholders.
