01 June 2020 |

Pharmaceutical company Grifols closed the purchase of land in Lliçà de Vall, Barcelona, to expand its company, in an investment estimated at 130 million euro.

The land has 47.000 sqm and a diagnostic unit is already being constructed. According to newspaper Expansión, negotiations took around 2 years.

According to Ricard Bronchud, vice-president for global laboratory facilities, «the purchase of this terrain in Lliçà de Vall is part of our commitment to invest locally and generate qualified occupation in the region, where we have been present for almost 50 years».

This operation is part of the company’s investment plans, which has 1.400 million euro set aside for new investments between 2018 and 2020, all over the world. Of this amount, around 300 million euro should be invested in Spain.
